Various images of Ed Gein’s home in Wisconsin, 1957, including some disturbing items found inside the house: a mask made from human skin, a pair of gloves also made of human skin and a corpse hung from a butcher’s hook which had been gutted like an animal.

A group waiting to be evacuated at the seawall of Herculaneum. The eruption of Mount Vesuvius (69 A.D.) killed them soon after.
Major General Horatio Gordon Robley with his collection of decapitated heads. Referred to as "Mokomokai" by New Zealand’s Maori tribe, these heads were often traded to European sailors in exchange for firearms.
The abandoned Imperial Brewery in Kansas City, MO. It’s been locked up tight ever since being decommissioned, so I couldn’t find a safe way in. There was a small hole in the fence where I could fit through, but to get inside the building without breaking in would’ve required a lot of climbing, and it was too wet to get a grip on anything.
